In allusion to the poem "to a mouse" by the probably most famous poet of Scotland, Robert Burns, this whisky got its name Timorous Beastie and is an ode to the Scottish highlands. Therefore, only single malts from Highland distilleries such as Blair Athol, Glen Garioch, The Dalmore and Glengoyne are used for its creation. As in most Douglas Laing whiskies, the blended malt is bottled without cooling filtration and without color impact.
In the nose, typical aromas of Scottish heather and wild mountain honey combine perfectly with the warm notes of noble wood and spices. On the palate the Timorous Beastie appears spicy like honey, but still soft and fruity. Sweet aromas of barley and fine notes of raisins are added.
The Douglas Laing Timorous Beastie Whisky is a true character whisky of the Scottish Highlands.
Origin: Scotland / Alc. 46,8% / Vol. 70cl
