Vodka from Canada
Cold climate and vodka somehow belong together. So the warming vodka is often drunk in the north to survive the icy winters. But also the ingredients for vodka can be found in the northern latitudes: Potatoes, winter wheat and of course spring water of the best quality. Although Canada is not part of the legendary vodka belt, there are some excellent Canadian vodka varieties. Probably the most famous Canadian vodka is Cristal Head Vodka in the unmistakable skull bottle. Cristal Head Vodka was created by none other than the famous US actor Dan Aykroyd (Ghostbuster's) and his business partner John Alexander, a renowned artist. Both were fascinated by the old legend of the 13 crystal skulls, which were found all over the world and are between 5,000 and 35,000 years old. The Cristal Head Vodka is a successful homage to this legend.
