Vodka from Poland
Even today, Poland and Russia are still in dispute as to who can call themselves the inventors of vodka. Every country claims to have invented at least the first vodka-like drink. In Poland, the first written records date back to 1405. This was the first time that the alcoholic drink was distilled in Sandomierz. Today there are more than a hundred varieties of Polish vodka. Vodka from Poland is usually particularly clear and contains up to 40 percent alcohol.
