In limited edition Akashi delivers the wonderful White Oak Single Malt - first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels of American white oak and finalized in Spanish sherry barrels. By not using cold filtration, this whisky retains subtle nuances of chamomile, sherry, malt, oak and vanilla. In an extension of the aromatic game, notes of meadow flowers and chilled white almond also appear. Another excellent and sophisticated whisky from Japan!
In the nose, the White Oak Akashi Single Malt Whisky presents itself fresh and airy, with a nobly developed body. Framed by rich woody notes, a play of sherry, malt, vanilla and also meadow flowers, above a hint of white almonds. Smooth and oily on the nose, White Oak Akashi Single Malt Whisky is smooth on the palate with a bouquet of vanilla, oak, malt and chamomile. The extended finish is rich in sherry and almonds.
The White Oak Akashi Single Malt Whisky with its 46% alcohol content can be drunk very well pure, depending on the personal taste either tempered, chilled or on ice
