Valamo Absinthe combines traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art distillation technology: inspired by the legends surrounding absinthe, the Valamo monastery distillery began to develop its own version of the secretive spirit. The basis was a recipe from an old French textbook, which was constantly refined. The result a refined, emerald green absinthe whose fresh, herbal taste of anise is combined with a hint of bitterness.
The beautiful green of Valamo Absinthe comes into its own in the glass. On the palate, Valamo Absinthe is dry and fiery, with light notes of mint and anise. This is joined by aromas of fresh Nordic herbs and a hint of fennel.
