It was in 1870 that Paul Etter founded the Etter Distillery based in Zug. Today, the name of Etter represents a seal of approval for high quality fruit licqueurs. Permission to distill whisky in Switzerland was granted on 1 July 1999. 140 years after Etter Söhne AG was founded the family is adding another product to its range of spirits; the high quality JOHNETT Swiss Single Malt Whisky, produced with passion. The quality is personally guaranteed by the Master Distiller John Etter.
The JOHNETT is matured for at least three years in the unique and particularly moist conditions of the Höllgrotten (Baar Hell Caves). Storage in special oak barrels from the Weingut Rosenau of the Ottiger family in the Kastanienbaum region of Lucerne gives the destillate a very special flavour and makes JOHNETT Swiss Single Malt Whisky a experience for the senses to be enjoyed by passionate connoisseurs
