The Gin Botanivore from distillery St. George Spirits close to San Francisco has a very interesting name: Derived from the names Herbivore and Carnivore, the word game Botanivore was created to express that gin is a true botnical eater. In fact, the name fits this gin, because after all, 19 different botanicals are "eaten" in its production. The classic herbs and spices such as angelica root, cardamom, star anise, juniper, coriander, caraway and iris root, pepper, laurel, cinnamon, dill, fennel, ginger, cinnamon, hops, the peel of citrus fruits such as Seville oranges, lemons, limes and bergamots give this gin its fine and tasty aroma.
On the palate St. George Botanivore Gin is very fresh and spicy, but also has incredibly fruity and herbal notes. A gin for real connoisseurs!
