The Citadelle Gin is a premium gin from the famous Cognac House Ferrand in the Charente, very close to the city of Cognac. However, the name "Citadelle" is derived from the distillery of the same name in Dunkirk, where gin was produced according to a secret recipe as early as 1771.
The Citadelle Gin is distilled gently in three stages and enriched with 19 different nBotanicals such as grated lemon, orange, juniper, pine, violet root, cassia, cinnamon, liquorice, coriander, sweet and bitter almonds, angelica, cardamom, pepper, aniseed, salt, nutmeg, lily and fennel.
The Citadelle Gin has a delicate nose with a slight dominance of juniper and citrus aromas. On the palate it convinces with its pleasant and fine aroma.
The Gin Citadelle has already received several awards, including double gold at the ISWC 2004 and the title "World Champion" at "The Gin Masters London" 2008.
